Middle stanza sez it all, particularly after this past TAKS-ing week. Have I recommended Philip Levine to you before? Detroit poet (in the earlier days; now splits his time between Fresno and Brooklyn). Beautiful poems of working folks, particularly in his collection What Work Is.
